Some figures that shape our everyday environmental mindset. 52% of Estonia is covered by forests, we are ranked 6th in Europe in terms of the proportion of forests covering our beautiful country. 22% of Estonia is a nature reserve. The name of our latest member in the gin family – Crafter’s Wild Forest Gin – does not come from thin air. Talking about air.

CRAFTER’S CYCLE FROM WASTE TO TASTE

Not just the taste, green how we think and green is how we act. Let’s talk about sustainability facts reshaping our production. We try to make it short.

REUSING IN DRINKS
Juniper berries processed for the distillation of Crafter’s gins are reused to make our non-alcoholic soft drink Re-crafted Crafter’s Junibeer and also juniper berry beer. In total we are reusing 80% of plant-based ingredients of Crafter’s gins.

REUSING IN CHEESE
Not only drinks, we are reusing juniper berries distilled for our gins to flavour cheese – a lot of fibre and minerals are still inside the berries, in collaboration with local Andre cheese farm.

Singly distilled boanicals make the distilling yield greater and the quality of the distillate higher, at the same time making the energy consumption of the process lower.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PACKAGING
Even packaging follows our sustainable philosophy. Our gin bottles are blown in Estonia only 85 kilometres from Liviko, at least half of raw material used is recycled glass and with the help of technology we have reduced the amount of glass used by a third.
